Cherry Chocolate Chip Microwave Cookie

It’s no secret that one of my favorite combinations is chocolate and cherry. I combined those flavors once again to create another individual treat!

What You’ll Need:
• 1 tbsp. butter
• 1 tbsp. granulated sugar
• 1 tbsp. brown sugar
• Pinch of salt
• Splash of vanilla
• 1 egg yolk
• 3 tbsp. flour
• Whipped cream
• Maraschino cherry syrup or chocolate syrup
• Maraschino cherries
• Mini chocolate chips
• Mini cherry chips (see below) or dried cherries

Directions:
1. In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

2. Combine the sugars, salt, and vanilla to the mixture and stir completely.

3. Add the egg yolk and stir again.

4. Mix the four into the mixture. You will now have a thick, creamy texture.

5. Finally, add a sprinkling of chocolate chips, cherry chips and/or dried cherries to the dough. Use a spoon to place the mixture in the bowl you will microwave.

6. Heat the mixture in a microwave for about 60 seconds. The cookie will be quite hot when finished, so allow a few minutes to cool. Top with whipped cream and drizzle with syrup. Complete with a cherry on top! Best served warm.

Here are some photos of the final product:
