Music Review: George Ezra's Wanted On Voyage
I haven’t bought much music this year so far at all, but I decided on a whim to buy this album from George Ezra. I saw him perform on Saturday Night Live in March, knowing nothing about him. When I heard the song “Budapest” I was instantly surprised about the voice that was coming out of that young body. After a few days though, the song was still in my head, so I gave the entire debut album a chance. While Ezra’s voice might be a bit strange at first, especially when he goes very deep, the folksy vibe to his music is a great change. I know I will be continuing to listen to the album often throughout the summer and already can’t wait to hear more from him.
Must-hear tracks:
Blame It on Me
Budapest
Listen to the Man
Did You Hear the Rain?
Drawing Board
Over the Creek
