For me, the one thing that really makes it feel like the holidays are truly here is baking cookies. I love to bake all year round, but Christmas is the only time we make many batches of different types of cookies all at one time. While there are always a few moments of frustration, or something doesn’t go quite right, the end result is always amazing. Plus, there are the delicious scoops of batter at the end of the mixing bowl and tempting smells that fill the entire home as each batch bakes that make the experience something to look forward to. Even though the dishes are always waiting at the end, nothing quite beats cookies taking over the kitchen and dining table preparing to be tasted and shared.
