Charmed Vases

This project came to life after I wanted to recycle some jewelry and use up leftover beads. I went to Michael’s craft store and purchased a few small glass vases. Next, I took the charms off a few pieces of cheap jewelry I bought at Forever 21. I then combined the charms with the beads on some wire to create beautifully charmed vases! The finished project is perfect to not only display flowers, but also be placed on a desk to store pencils, pens, brushes, or other supplies!

What You’ll Need:
• Glass Vase
• Beads
• Charms
• Wire
• Scissors

Directions:
1. Decide what beads and charms you want to use.

2. Cut your wire about 3-4 feet in length. You want to cut a little more than you will use in order to leave extra room for beading.

3. Take your vase and wrap the wire around 2-3 times. Once wrapped, bring the two ends to the front and twist them together a few times.

4. After securely twisting, begin to add the beads and charms on one of the ends. You could place all the pieces in a row, or add a little twist every few beads to add to the design and secure the beads from moving around.
5. Make sure to finish your design before it reaches the bottom of the vase.

6. Once at the end of your design, twist the wire about 5 times to secure all the pieces.

7. Trim any excess wire.

8. Now, complete the other end in the same way. I made one end a little longer than the other.
9. After securing and trimming the second end, display your charming new creation!
