I put this stationary set together after wanting to use some of my favorite photos for cards, but did not want to spend much money or time to create them. I used some materials I had around the house, and only spent a few dollars to buy a package of cards and envelopes. What I especially liked about the project was that I used self-adhesive 3D foam squares, which there was no complicated printing planning or messy gluing and drying to get the images I wanted on the cards. The stationary is a great way to quickly send a personalized card to someone and display new photos you have taken!
• Pack of cards and envelopes (I used 4”x5.5”cards)
• Ribbon (I used a variety pack of jute string)
• 3D foam squares
• Hole punch
• Photo paper or card stock to print images on
• Scissor
1. Prepare and cut out your photos. This can be done in many ways. For my cards, I used some of my favorite images I have taken and cropped them to the 4”x5.5” size of the cards. I then dragged the images into a Word document and fit four images on a page. Finally, I printed them on plain white card stock before cutting them out.
2. Next take your images and use about two-three of the 3D foam squares (depending on the size) to attach it to the card. Keep in mind that you want to leave enough space at the top or bottom for where you want your ribbon to go.
4. To finish up your cards, cut your ribbon and make a bow through the holes, trimming any excess. If you want the ribbon to stay more secure, you could additionally brush a bit of tacky glue over the knot.
