I took this shot in Paris about two years ago when I was away for my semester abroad. I was anxious to try a real macaron in France, and was informed that Ladurée was the most famous spot to pick one up. They had so many flavors, but I felt a bit nervous pronouncing things in French, so I took the easy way out and ordered a “macaron au chocolat.” I have been thinking a lot about macarons lately, and have been anxious to learn the skill myself. A book and kit I ordered about macarons are coming in the mail soon, and I am ready to take on a challenge over this holiday season!
