I shared a few new snacks a couple weeks ago and wanted to follow up with a few extra items, including a few I had mentioned that I wanted try.
Verry Berry Cheerios:
I wanted to try these because I have enjoyed some of the recent seasonal flavors like strawberry and pumpkin spice. I figured these would be pretty good as well, but it took me a few tries to find this cereal in stores. Overall, I wouldn’t say these are especially unique, but they aren’t anything to be mad about trying. The purple “berry” flavor on the Cheerios is a bit inconsistent, with some pieces containing a lot, and others very little. The flavor itself is fine, tasting mostly like a raspberry and blueberry combo. I have realized in recent years that I’m actually not super impressed with berry flavored items when it comes to candy, drinks, and desserts. As much as I love actual berries, the berry flavor doesn’t do much for me. These aren’t bad by any means though, and if you like Cheerios, these are worth a try. I just don’t think I would rush out to buy more before they are gone.
Dunkin' Donuts Vanilla Latte Pop-Tarts:
I had previously only found these available in large boxes, which I knew I would never manage to eat all of. I was disappointed, but kept my eye out for smaller boxes. I finally found a regular-sized box and knew I wanted the vanilla latte (there is also a mocha flavor). I was really impressed with the flavor! I can definitely taste the vanilla and coffee combo. I tried it straight out of the box the first time, which was good. I felt like I could really taste the coffee inside the vanilla center. The second time, I warmed it up in the microwave, which definitely brought out the flavor more and made it so creamy. I gave a pack of them to a friend to try, and she said they tasted like “buttered and syruped pancakes.” As soon as she said it, I could definitely see how she could taste it. The next time I had one myself, I thought of that and couldn’t get it out of my head. What is nice about this flavor is that if you aren’t a huge coffee fan, you shouldn’t be too bothered by it because the flavor is pleasant and not overwhelming. I hadn’t had a Pop-Tart in such a long time, I found myself enjoying these a bit too much. I would be interested in trying the mocha flavor, even though I’m not fond of real mocha drinks (they give me a stomachache), I do like coffee flavored items.
Milka Oreo Big Crunch Bar:
I wasn’t sure I was going to try this, since I was content with the (delicious) regular Milka Oreo bar, but my mom gifted me with this around Valentine’s Day, and I couldn’t help but be excited. I doesn’t taste overly different from the bar I already tried, but the structure of the bar is not the same. Instead of small bits of chocolate cookie, there is a whole layer/sheet of cookie. This did make it a little more difficult to break the bar apart easily, and keep it along the lines, but it tasted just as good. It was more crunchy than the other bar because of the “big crunch," which made it a bit less creamy on the inside, but the milk chocolate makes it very melt-in-your-mouth. The bar is huge though, so I would take a few squares a day with some tea. My mom also bought me two small individual bars (which were smaller than the first bar I had). I have started to see commercials for these bars, so I have a feeling they are going to be available at other stores soon, other than just Walmart (where these started out at).
These Oreo bars are my current favorite chocolate, but my friend (who I gave the Pop-Tart pack to) has been loving the Reese’s cups stuffed with Pieces inside. She gave me one of the “Big Cups” around the holidays to try, and I found them very creamy and enjoyed the crunch that the Pieces give the candy. I don’t consider Reese’s Cups a favorite, and am usually not super fond of peanut butter desserts, but I would recommend them! (...the Oreo bars are still better in my opinion though😉 )
