One of my favorite parts about summer is when we are able to buy fresh herbs and succulents. Since it is too cold where we live, it is more difficult to have them throughout the year. This year, we picked out basil, cilantro, parsley, and oregano. We perched them along one of our window sills, where we can easily reach them when we cook. I love being able to put the herbs on our food throughout the summer. So far we have put it on pasta, chickpea curry, and chicken, and each has tasted better than usual because of the herbs.
