Little Finds Haul 4

I’m back with a new Little Finds, which is a mixture of little items I purchased out and about during the past month or so. Quite a few of these were little stocking stuffers from Christmas or items I found soon after the holidays ended.

With the new year, I found myself buying stationary items for new journaling and planning. Stationary products and stores are by biggest guilty pleasure, but I always have had issues actually properly using my new notebooks, stickers, pens, etc. I’m one of those people who love those items, but once I get them, I want to keep them perfect and store them until I figure out the best way to use them. This usually means I hardly use them at all because I worry I will ruin it or make a mistake. As I get older, I’m trying to be better with that and just go for it. I still have my moments where I keep something aside and hesitate using it, but I have been slowly improving and actually attempting to use the items without being hard on myself about everything being perfect. I think these new items will be fun to use as the year progresses and I’m going to push myself to make the best use of them!

Oh K! Cooling Eye Pads: $10.00
Purchased online through ASOS

This might seem a bit silly, but I am very fond of anything cooling, especially because of allergies and headaches. Whenever I have a headache, the thing that truly helps me the most is to use an ice pack on my head. It almost always makes the headache go away and just calms me down and makes everything clear up. These eye pads are great at the end of the day, I find it best after my evening shower, to just to take about 10 minutes to relax with these on. They take a little bit of adjusting to stay on well, but once on, they are quite relaxing. The pads are filled with a gel, similar to some ice packs, which you put in the fridge (I keep mine wrapped up in a paper towel to avoid any of the food nearby) so it gets cold.

Paperchase Mermaid Sticky Notes: $6.00
Purchased online through ASOS

I’ve loved mermaids for as long as I can remember, and while I don’t really collect anything anymore with them like I did as a kid (except for a few items from The Little Mermaid), I thought these sticky notes were a fun way to remember one of my favorite things. I thought these were a pretty good deal as well for the different designs and styles that are inside the little portfolio. The size is also convenient to take along with you and the pastel colors are perfect for spring. I’m especially fond of the pink shell sticky note!

The Little Book of Inspiration: $9
Purchased online through ASOS

I love this little pocket book because of the simple design, single color scheme, and the general positivity of it. I bought through ASOS, but I have also spotted a few of these at Barnes and Noble recently, with a little bit different cover design. There are quite a few in this line, including ones focused on “Happiness," “Positivity," and “Friendship”. The book includes tips, uplifting quotes, and other advice to make you feel more inspired. The small size makes this a nice book to bring with you on days you may need some extra motivation.

Lonely Planet Best Ever Photography Tips: $8.50
Purchased online through ASOS

I thought this book would be useful to learn some easy tips and tricks for photography, again being easy to carry along in a bag. I don’t particularly find myself good or knowledgable at photography (especially lighting when there is no natural light available). I have taken a few courses in both high school and college, but walked away each time not really having learned anything more than just photography terms and a few basic Photoshop ideas. I’m excited to get into this book and see if there are any basic tricks and ideas that I can utilize, especially when traveling.

Ban.Do Lavender Case: $4.50 (was $12.00)
Purchased at Home Goods

I have a couple items from the brand Ban.Do (a duffle bag and a pack of stickers), which I really like. The items can be a bit pricey though, but I keep my eye out for new items and deals. I love the company’s colors, fun designs, and different patterns. While I probably would have not paid the original Home Goods price (which would be quite a bit less than what it was before it got to the store) of $12.00, it is a nicely made bag, making the price I paid for it a great deal. I have been storing new pens, sticky notes, and stickers inside it. I love the lavender color of the bag, and the silver trimming along the sides and interior is a cool touch.

Three Constellation Journals: $3.99
Blue notebook set: $4.99
2017 Planner: $3.99
All purchased at Home Goods

As the new year approached I wanted a few new notebooks to start a bullet journal of some kind, as well as notebooks for some other planning and sketching. I especially liked the three constellation journals (which are labeled with “dream," “wander," and “explore”)because they were stitched up in a pretty rose gold thread, and the metallic accents made them unique. These were all a much better price than you would find at other stores, especially since I walked away with seven items for about $13. They are all pretty basic, but perfect for making them your own.

Punctuate Pens: $5 (was $9.95)
Purchased at Barnes and Noble

I liked the positive vibe of these pens and the colorful patterns. The black ink is very rich and creamy, and so far they write smoothly. They feel a bit retro in their style as well. The pens do have a more liquid ink and don’t dry instantly, so these are definitely pens you have to be more careful with so you do not smudge anything while it dries.

Princess Figural Keychain: $6.80
Purchased at Hot Topic

What I like about these keychains is the mystery aspect, but the quality is also quite nice. Usually, there are characters I don’t want to get though, but in this princess set I was happy to get any of them. I ended up with Princess Tiana, which is very cute and her green dress has a nice amount of detailing. I put this on my bulletin board recently, along with the few other figural keychains I have collected.

Disney Princess Valentine Stickers: $3.00
Purchased at Hallmark

I didn’t really use these for Valentines, I just thought they were so cute! I am happy that all the princesses are represented, with a few getting two poses, plus I love how sparkly they are. I especially like the Mulan and Merida stickers. I am excited to use these in my notebooks and when sending cards!
